Septic Tank

Is there anyone in the Baza area that can locate our septic tank for not that there is anything wrong with it but I would like to know where it is. I think it will need some high tech equipment like:-

Dowse for it Peter, you may well be suprised. A forked branch, or I have even seen someone use a wire coat hanger! Alledgedly just wander about the general area until it "twitches" I am sure you have seen it on TV. Costs nothing that's always an incentive. You got nothing to lose. Besides there may well be a vent pipe sticking up....

Hi Gordon, Thank you for your very good idea, they always say two heads are better than one, one day I will give it a go.

He's right Peter it does work. Years ago i had to find a power cable underground on an airstrip in Germany. We got a local chap in who not only did find thepower cable but could also tell us where the water pipes, fuel lines and various other things where. Ive tried a couple of times with a pair of welding rods, bent at 90 degrees at the end, just let them swing too and fro. It works, dont know how but it does.

1)Put your phone in a small plastic freezer bag
2)Go to your toilet drop phone inside toilet and flush
3) get your wifes phone and dial your own
and go for a walk while dialing
it works like magic!!!

Thinking of starting dowsing to find our septic tank. Think I will have a look on web sites to get a bit of knowledge. Do I have to think of septic tanks when I am dowsing for a septic tank or so on.

It's true about dowsing. When I was a kid, PLUTO (Pipe Line Under The Ocean) ran under our fields (after it had left the ocean, that is). The oil company responsible for its maintenance (BP? Shell? Can't remember) turned up with dowsing rods to determine its points of entry & exit to & from our land - and they found it.

Also, loads of old Victorian drains in Birmingham were located by dowsing in the 1950s and 1960s.
