Downloading of books to Kindle

Hi all,
I need help in downloading books from my laptop to my Kindle. I have loads of free books on my laptop, but don't know how to download to Kindle. If someone out there can help me with this, I would be extremely grateful. In return I have a stick with all the aforementioned content loaded which you would be welcome to download to your own machine.

To transfer books to Kindle

I don't know if this one will help?  It is for a Kindle Paperwhite, but I don't know which Kindle you have.

You could try a Google search and see if there is anything more relevant.

We use Calibre

If your kindle is plugged in you drag books from pc into calibre, or browse for them, them right click selected books and 'send to device'.

If your kindle is not plugged in, you can right click the selected book/s 'share' and send to an email address, your kindle will have an email address, the kindle just recieved the books via the internet then.
