Carboot this Sunday.

If the weather is reasonable we shall be at the carboot fair this Sunday with the usual range of goodies that have been kindly donated by our many supporters. Hope to see you all there.

I hope so, I'm planning on doing Texan pulled pork rolls and they won't be very nice in the rain

I had to go with the original recipe name rather than Benamaurel pulled pork it didn't have the same 'ring' - If you've never had it you've missed out. It's a huge shoulder of pork that has a long process of hickory smoking and then marinating in BBQ sauce, then slow roasting for 10 hours then it's so tender it can be 'pulled' apart. It's served warm in a roll with Kimchi - Haven't time to explain Kimchi as I have to get on and make it now

For the veggies there'll be 'huevos rancheros' which sounds far nicer than cow herds eggs, these should really be re named 'hangover eggs' they're the best cure I know

We will be coming to help out but not until a bit later than normal , we will be bringing Barney with us not that you will recognise him from the previous pics , he is now all legally passported and looking for a forever home . So if anybody is interested we can discuss all his medical problems with you, as he needs it to be a very special caring experienced home .

He is looking forward to many tummy rubs ............. oh and he says any left over pulled pork
