Carboot this sunday
Come on all you wonderful people of the forum, show your support for the wonderful volunteers of El Capricho this sunday, they are having a carboot stall on sunday to raise money for the dog centre in Baza, come along and buy something, if you dont see anything you like donate a small amount instead, no matter the size of the donation all are welcome, then come and join the team for a drink and chat, if your lucky Devon Dave may turn up just as the carboot is finishing

Re: Carboot this sunday
What a lovely day , the sun was shinning I must admit it makes all the difference. So it was a really fun day and to top it all off we raised 247.65 euros. A VERY BIG THANK YOU !!!! for all that supported us .
We will be having an impromptu one on the 18th march, this will be more like we had last month a BARGAIN BONAZA [i] just so we can reduce some of the old stock.
Having said that spring is in the air and if you are having a bit of a clear out please keep us in mind, all donations are so gratefully received and it all helps so much, there are many plans this year to really improve things at the refuge and it will all take money - more will be shared on this at a later date but not a penny is wasted. You can either bring things to us on the 18th March or the 1st April at the car boot or drop them into Vista ( there's some really YUMMY !!! grub in there nowadays ) or PM me and we can arrange to pick them up - no problem
Hollandia made 30 euros selling her tee shirts for El Capricho but it is better than that with the money she is going to make duo leads for the dogs. A wonderful idea and a wonderful result
Also Mat did a roaring trade on her doughnuts but I will leave her to tell you the result , I think I must have been in hiding eating one when she told us how much she raised

Peter . I am afraid to say your dog is far too laid back to be an El Capricho dog they are more like this [img][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/img]
It was nice to see you there today, I did come over to say hi but you were in a deep conversation with Dave. I left it for a couple of minutes and the next I saw you had gone - never mind next time

Re: Carboot this sunday
Yes, we enjoyed the day. It was so good to meet so many people fromand I understand could soon be available the forum, and we had a good laugh with such great company.
I'd also like to say thank you on behalf of all El cap supporters to the lady who spent 1.20 euros and told us to keep the change from 20 euros. I apologise for not knowing who you are!
Icing on the cake (excuse the pun) was being able to collect my vast order of doughnuts, pies, cakes etc from Matilda. Fabulous stuff, if you haven't tried any of her items, do as soon as you can. (before mikey snaps it all up)

Ooh I love cakes! one of my many weaknesses! Yes I am counting my blessings as I am keeping very busy at the moment. Long may it continue!
It's great that so many people are getting behind El Capricho and offering support. Brilliant.

It was lovely to see everyone today faces old and new particularly three young Spanish boys repeatedly buying the tiramisu cakes in the hope of getting squiffy on the rum in them - And thank you for all the compliments it's really good to have feed back on items.
The doughnuts sold and Mikeys change the total raised was 17.30 € which I shall put towards some cases of bleach & chain collars & leads which we desperately need. I look forward to the next one.
