I know that the 6th and 8th are holidays but as some of the shops are open on Saturday 8th I am wondering if Guadix market will be on. anyone know?

There is a local holiday in Baza tomorrow. It is in celebration of the Christians chasing out the Moors in 1493 out of Baza. Most of Baza is shut this day. The 6th is a national holiday so a lot of companies are making it a ´bridge´, that is holiday from Monday to Friday/Saturday. There is free wine in Baza tomorrow.

The ONLY sign in there last night was that it would just be closed today.

The 6th and 8th are 'Bank Holidays' so expect the shops to be closed.

Thanks for the info, but I thought I saw signs saying that Lidl and Mercadona are open on the 8th, although for shorter hours, I was hoping that the market might be on. Probably best not to bother going.
