Boot Fair in aid of 'El Capricho'

THANKYOU so much to all the people that have donated for this to be able to happen. We are having our first stall this Sunday, as we had a donation of items yesturday that enable us to have a stall, just with this alone THANKYOU Rosie & ' Him indoors' I am still quite woried that 'Him Indoors' does not know his garage has been emptied
Some of the dogs will be coming in the early part of the day to meet people and hopefully find a new home As soon as it heats up they will have to go home tho, so please come and see us and meet the dogs earlyish
The guys from 'El Capricho' are coming along to promote steralisation, it should be a good day.
We need a couple of voulenteers to help out for a hour............
We still need ideas on fund raising..........

We have a few things in the pipeline, sponsership packages of different levels, and hopefully with the assistance of Mikey, our forum marathon runner leading the way, a sponsered run from Benamaurel to Baza boot fair, we would like this to be a yearly event, a cup being presented to the winner and another to the higest fund raiser, early days yet as we need to arrange talks with the town halls involved.
Would anyone be intrested in taking part ? This will be held in the winter months, so time for trainning is possible.............

Last night one of the three German Shephards Pups that 'Cave Bunny' saved from the gas chamber last week became very ill, she is curently in Jabalcon vets in Baza on a drip, she will make it im sure, but the vet bill is going to be huge....... 'El Capricho' do not have the funds, if anyone can help towards this bill please pop in the vets or contact us, its a never ending battle we have taken on, any help anyone can give is so needed at present, it costs 600 Euros a month to run 'El Capricho' who are full to the brim with 40 dogs now............ Until we can find ways of a monthy income, we are relying on donations and the 'Boot Fair' stall

Hi ! Happy chic ! this is how puppy rescue started in the Albox area ! you may know about them wonderful dedicated people ! we adopted our Flossy from them , they had tins dotted around too in quite a few shops for collections for dogs, also had fund raising by doing raffles everyweek which they sold at boot fair they did in Albox and also sold them to at coffee places just a small prize for a great cause. But in that area more English in the bars!! I wish you well on Sunday and will soon have a clear out and donate some stuff.

Thankyou. We have some tins thanks to Devon Dave, Annie & Tony have one on the market stall for us, we do need to get some more tho, i will try and post a pic of one of the collection tins being emptied that David from El Capricho has sent me, a total of 116.89€. and 2 coins of one penny !!!
Love the idea of a raffle, yes i know 'Puppy Rescue', have seen them at the Albox boot fair, i think they do a scratch card as well when they are there. Never had time to chat to them as i get dragged away from the dogs before i can even see them, the hubby is scared of my pleading eyes and a 'just one more won't hurt'................. I'm scared to count how many we have nowdays

Dave your a darling THANKYOU xxxxx We would like to leave some in the 3 vets we have in Baza and a few other places...........................Cave Bunny & TWS have had a nightmare 24 hours with 'Pebbles' the saved GSD pup, she is now on the mend, an emergency out of hours call out, numerous injections 24 hour care in 'Jabalcon Vets' on a drip etc.................and much more, total bill 100 Euros, amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The messages recieved today from forum members offering help has been such a boost..................We now have four forum members running this half marathon to raise funds..................Totally overwhelming THANKYOU TO YOU ALL xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just an idea.......For as long as I can remember our local village has held amatuer dog racing. Its always been really popular and raised good money. Ive been a couple of times and its been an absolute scream (the dogs being the stars)
