Shame Cullar's is always the same weekend

It's our first year here, so some advice welcome.

We've been pointed at Cuellar which I understand starts at 1930 on Saturday.

What's happening at Benamaurel and at what time?

Ive only been to the Cullar one which was fab, but ive also heard that the Benamaurel one is fab too. So im sorry im not a lot of help really.

Programming Events of Moros and Christians Benamaurel 2014

SATURDAY 26 DE APRIL
12:00: Church bells and rocket fire.
13:00: Performance of the musical group Benzalema Benamaurel and invitation among attendees. Location: Plaza Mayor.
19:15: Entrance of the Queens accompanied by the bands at the Plaza Mayor.
19.30: Septenario in honor of the Virgen de la Cabeza. Local cults. Cut ribbons to start parades by the herald, Mr Mayor and Queens.
19:45 h: out of the groups of Christians, Moors and Pakkos from the Plaza Mayor, Calle San Leon Street Calderon de la Barca (which will be incorporated into the parade the Virgen de la Cabeza) and Cañada.
21:00 pm: Floral offering in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza. Location: Cañada.
21:30 pm: Coronation of Queen and Christian Mora 2014 in the Glen.. After the coronation the image will be accompanied to the place of worship by the Brotherhood and Queens.
23:30 pm: Parade of the Band of Brotherhood from the Glen Park San Leon.
23:45 h: Verbena in the Municipal Marquee starring Orchestra and Orchestra Arrayan Burma. Free admission.
24:00 pm: Fireworks display at the football field next to the Park of San Leon.


SUNDAY 27 DE APRIL
08:30 h: Diana by Band of Brotherhood.
10:45 h: Out of Our Lady of the Local Head of worship to the Plaza Mayor.
11:00: Pilgrimage procession of the Virgen de la Cabeza, accompanied by the Troupes from the Plaza to the Hermitage, where he "played the flag."
13:00: Solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Municipal Corporation, champions of the carriers Brotherhood of Badges and Queens of the groups, accompanied by the Choir Balsahonda.
17:30 pm: Depart from Bando Moro Comparsa Pakka toward reunion with the Moro Bando on the bridge of Salitres.
18:15 h: Output image from Ermita accompanied Christian.
18:30: On the bridge of the nitrate, the Moros Captivity represent sham escorting the image to Cañada, (they are known as the famous Fight Moors and Christians in the area only) Following departure of Christian extras , Pakka and Mora with the Virgen de la Cabeza towards Cañada where the first part of the Captivity and Rescue called PAPERS take place. After representation "will play the flag" and image will be accompanied by troupes from Cañada, Calderon de la Barca to the Place of Worship.
22:30 pm: Show couplet with Elena Romera and Roberto Gonzalez. Then performance of the Burma Orchestra. Free admission.

MONDAY 28 DE APRIL
09:00 h: Diana by Band of Brotherhood.
11:00: Solemn Eucharistic celebration presided act by the Municipal Corporation, champions of the carriers Brotherhood of Badges and Queens of Troupes. Starring Rociero Jabaluna Choir. Home of worship.
12:00: out in procession from the place of worship for the streets Calderón de la Barca, Cañada, Memorial Square, Pinar, Fort, Plaza Mayor, San Leon and finally again Calderon de la Barca.
17:15 h: Christian Comparsa output from the Plaza Mayor to the Health Center Building.
17:30 h: Bando Moro: Moving the image from the local cults to the Health Center Building.
18:15 h: Los Cristianos simulate rescuing the image escorting her to Canada where the representation of the second part of the PAPERS take place. A completion will "play the flag" and image will be accompanied by the district Troupes "Collao" Memorial Square, Cañada and Calderon de la Barca to the local cults.
21:00: Fraternization of Troupes in the Barraca Pakkos Guardal.
23:00: Verbena in the Municipal Marquee with Azahara and Almaida performance. Free admission.

TUESDAY 29 DE APRIL
09:00 h: Diana by Band of Brotherhood.
11:00: Solemn Eucharistic act. Upon completion, the procession of the groups will be held with the image, leaving from the local cults, Calderon de la Barca, Cañada, Memorial Square, Pinar, Fort, Plaza Mayor, San Leon, Bendo and again Calderon Barca to the local cults.
13:00: Grandiose fireworks in honor of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
19:00: beans, cod and wine country. This year, as a collaboration for the settlement of the roof of the church, each bag € 1 full benefit is payable.
19.30: THIRD COUNTRY WINE COMPETITION. It will announce the failure of the winner.
22:00 pm: Performance by Trio Almaida in Tent City. Free admission.

LOCAL WORSHIP: WHERE IS THE LOCAL WILL CARRY OUT THE RELIGIOUS EVENTS. LOCATED IN CALDERON DE LA BARCA STREET, NEXT TO THE CHRISTIAN COMPARSA.

Ok thats great. i would like the time of the parade in Cullar, Been on festival site even got to callender but it said no items posted. So is it 7 30 or 6 as i was told it was last year. Help wanted please.

We went last night to the parade at Benamaurel and thought it was fabulous.  What an amazing display for a relatively small town!  The Moors definitely had the edge with wonderful feathered headdresses, though I loved the green and gold cloaks at 1min 30secs.  The video I took shows less than 10% of the parade, and of course does not do it justice.
