St George´s Day
Be England what she will. With all her faults, she is my country still.
Now we all know the story of St George and how heroic he was, saving the young lady from the nasty dragon well if that is´nt something to celebrate then i dont know what is.
On the 22nd of April a few of us English folk in the Castril area are going to have a small get together with a few select spanish invited, if anyone on the forum would like to come and join in the festivities then PM me for details. There will be a wonderful food spread done by the local bar but it will cost 5 euros per person.
You dont have to be English to come, we do have a sweaty sock or two coming so even if you are not from the land of rolling green hills then feel free to come along, we will even make the cornish welcome if they choose to come.
"Remember that you are an Englishman, and have consequently won first place in the lottery of life".

Re: St George´s Day
What a good day it turned out, although 90% of the people there were from yorkshire, but apart from that all was well, such alot of food.
It was nice to meet Metaldunk and his partner, very nice couple and also a couple called Rai and Yvonne who have just bought a cave in Huescar and will be joining the forum very soon.
Another celebration day is going to take place in may so if anyone is around come along and have a bite to eat and some refreshing beer.

And what´s the problem with people from Yorkshire............? (Are we all ´do-gooders´or something? Or is it that you haven´t developed a taste for mushy peas?)
