Calling all budding bakers for a good cause

We had a good meeting today to try and get organised the El Capricho xmas fayre being held on the 27th of November.
We could really do with some cakes and buns if anyone would like to do a bit of baking for a very good cause, there is no better place to be in these cold winter nights than keeping warm in the kitchen doing a bit of baking.
Also there will be a tombola on the day and if anyone has anything at all that could be used in the tombola it would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone else has anything else to add please feel free.
One other thing, Cave bunny is doing a marvelous thing organising this along with many others and they are putting a huge amount of work into it, so please can we all get behind them all and show our support.

Can I just also add along with cakes and buns , I have been making chutneys, relishes and jams for this worthy cause and they will be for sale on the day but there is always room for more. So just on the off chance that anybody else has any homemade preserves etc that they could donate, it would be very much appreciated for the home produce stall.

i would attempt to make something but it is limited what you can do with a deep fat fryer

Tarts welcome! Buns, biscuits, jams, n' sticky stuff. Anything home made and delicious! Contact me, Cavern or Mikey to make arrangements. And please also ask your friends who don't have forum access to bake/make something too.

Nice one Cavern, yes I'll have a box of preserves to donate as well and a hamper for the raffle.

i wanted two so i could have one and then i could give the other away but then i realised i had no one to give the other to so i will have that one too

This way I'm going have to make at least 3 now! I suppose Mrs.Shiny will also want one so that's 4 mini lemon meringues, I'll have to start now otherwise they won't be done in time.

Fortunately I've already put the brussel sprouts on a simmer for Christmas day so that's free'd my time up a bit
