UPDATE

Well you were right the agent on the o2 desk was completely wrong, I decided to ring again today and spoke to another agent who apologised and said I am sorry you have been given completely the wrong info and it cant be done, surprise surprise,

Upshot is the amount will go down each month, I am still in contract so a couple of months yet to go before we move, then I have to pay up, but not all bad news as if I were to purchase these 2 x iphone 6 which I wouldn't but have to now they would cost £631.00 each if purchased from o2 so will have to swallow it and pay up.

Plus, since it's a business account you've got you can put the business expense against tax, so that knocks a large chunk off.
