Paul Bristow - Who you may ask?

One or two of the devonians on the forum may well know the name Paul Bristow but not many others will have.

Paul Bristow died of a heart attack aged 59 this week and was described as the kindest lottery winner.
I met Paul once at a Torquay United game as he was talking to my uncle and he seemed a very nice down to earth guy.

He had been running the scout troop in Torquay for 20 years and with his win he took all of them (close to 100 children) to Canada on and all expenses holiday, also when two pieces of woodland in Barton near Torquay were going to be bought for housing sites Paul bought the sites and kept them as they were.

I know it may well be useless info to 99% of people on here but this was a guy who used his winnings to help others and took pleasure from seeing others enjoy things they could not otherwise do.

I must say I dont know the name But from you posting he sounded Like a very very nice man with his heart on his sleeve.

Very sad, Ididn't know him personally, but his generosity was well known to all in the area.
