Swimming Pool Closing Dates

I know the pools are not even open yet but does anyone know when they will close this year. 31st August is a Tuesday this year so just trying to work out if they will close the weekend before on the 29th or the weekend after on the 5th. Last year I seem to remember that the Los Olivos pool closed the 30th and the Cullar one the week after. It seems to be to do with when the schools open again if anyone knows those dates instead.

Does anyone know when they DO open?

Los Olivos pool (Castillejar) opens 26th June. The bar´s already open from 12.30 onwards.

benamaurel opened 18th June

Huescar opened yesterday and I think Galera on the 22nd

Cortes opens 24th/25th June

I was going to ask the exact same question. Do people know what pools are open?

I went through Benamaurel on Saturday and saw it was open.

I have this morning been for a walk and can say that at least Castril pool is half full with water (!) so it will hopefully be open soon but not sure on the date. Will see what I can find out this week.

Can I also ask what the prices are for 2010 for those of you will be visiting soon. I would like to give some details in July's edition, so any help would be most appreciated.

Also do residents get monthly cards at discounted rates? I know I paid 40 euros for the month last year for 2 adults and 2 children, which I thought was reasonable but it did actually increase quite a lot on the previous year, so will be interested on prices around the area.....

Any ideas when the Cortes de Baza pool is open too as that is my favourite!

We use Los Olivos most. Can we get a monthly pass even though we are in Benamaurel and if so how do we go about getting one. At that price it would be much cheaper than paying the daily rate for 5 of us.

Have had a pass for last 2 years for Los Olivos pool and we live in Puente Arriba.Just go to the town hall in Castilljar with a photo and passport,think thats all you need,and ask for a pass,cost me 20€ last 2 years.

Thanks for that Alf. Is it just a passport size photo? How many people does that cover, is it a family pass or just for an individual? Also need to find the Town Hall, anyone let me have directiond please?

Yes just a small photo,i cut one out of an old picture.This just covers yourself,but the more passes you buy the cheaper they go,not sure if you can get a family pass.You will need a photo for each of you.
