All the dogs under El Capricho 's care

As a few of us have been handing out flyers for the summer fair, it has come to our attention that there are some very silly and actually quite hurtful rumours about El Capricho, I am not going to repeat them in case even repeating them gives them any credibility, the ill informed people are more than welcome to visit the shelter and ask any questions they have.

To correct one piece of gossip, David has created this poster for the summer fair to show all the dogs that are under El Capricho's financial care , whether it be the 25 in the shelter ( the maximum allowed ) or in caring foster homes . I think you can see there is a few more than the 7 that is the info doing the rounds at the moment.

Also he is hoping to produce a poster which shows all the dogs which have found homes through El Capricho , that is a massive undertaking but hopefully will be done before the Summer fair, so if in doubt, come and check it out
Also if anybody can give a loving home to any of these cuties , trust me they can be replaced within hours. There is only enough homes and money to help so many , it really is an uphill stuggle and some people get disapointed

Well done Cavern I'd been approached with the same ridiculous nonsense a couple of days ago - Great poster, little Alfie (top row number 6) possibly has a lovely home to go to in September However he will be at the dog show on Sunday.

Good job I haven't any more room. I would have the lot! (actually Poochie II is my favorite but just don't let the others hear) Shhh!

These are the dogs that have found homes under El Capricho's care and financial assistance , I know a few will be recognised by quite a lot of you

I would argue it out that there are a lot more dogs out there, that had a hand in finding new loving homes with their help by being immediately adopted with help of the forum or El Capricho's networking. I know I have 3 of them Those lucky pups didn't make the poster

The Guys at El Capricho recognise that this would have only been possible with the people that have supported them in the past in a variety of ways . It is with those people the animals are here today and looking forward to the future plans to make even more dogs more comfortable and alive to find their dream .

Oh and if you have any of the adopted dogs above, please enter them into the El Capricho rescued dog category , there is a lot of us looking forward to seeing them all again.

Just seen the good news on farcebook so finally the Ayuntamiento has given the permissions to build the new pens the dogs so desperately need, maybe it is a good omen for Sunday.

Hope everything goes well we know how hard everyone is working to make the event a success we will be thinking of you all and hope you raise lots of money.

Awwww Thank you Leslie , you and Clive will be so missed . Yes what GREAT NEWS !!!!!!! I think it was getting everybody down that permission was taking so long but now it has come through I can see such a party atmosphere happening on Sunday and every penny raised will now go towards making the long awaited improvements .

Oh and up yours whoever said El capricho was closing down - watch this space. Things will be happeining BIG TIME !!! now - whoops got a bit over excited there

Photo of the Mayor signing the agreement for planning permission etc for the shelter to make improvements . I should point out we have had the Ayuntamiento's support thoughout all of this , rent free warehouse and they are also sponsoring the summer fair in a BIG way in many ways , the biggest one is we are getting the Pabellon De ferias free of charge - not only a sexy Mayor but an animal lover too

Yep that donkey is Flossy, El Capricho's first rescue donkey, she was virtually a cripple at first but is really getting back on her feet now with El Capricho and Janakys help . The paperwork to rescue a donkey is a nightmare but now they have the licensed facilities and the Spanish guys have the know how and patience hopefully more can be rescued in the future .

Janaky has officially adopted Flossy now but she is hoping to take in some fosters in the future.

Eh????????? Thought Janaky was a bit of a drinker, but thats just asking for trouble
