Warning....this is no joke

Today in vista we had a customer come in and said his lady friend has had her visa card cloned in the large chines opposite mercadona.

we are interested in this problem with the card fraud...what did the Guardia civil say about this terrible act of theft....maybe the person can let the forum know the outcome so all can be careful...The shop still appears to be open for business...we can help you with the police in Baza if you want...

the lady that had the card theft has gone back to the UK where she lives and has reported it there as far as i know.

It was when she went back she had a statement within a couple of days and found the money stolen and reported it to the bank.

Thats all the info that was past to us in the shop today..

Not sure if the same with all banks, but with Caja Rural you have the option to require pin indentification on all purchases. I'm hoping this would stop someone being able to purchase items should they clone my card.
