solar panels Empty solar panels

Post by Sally Tue Aug 30, 2011 10:59 am

We've got a problem with our solar panels which we use to provide hot water. The hot water doesn't seem to be getting down as far as our taps, the water coming through our taps and shower is only tepid. We imagine there must be some blockage or scaling in the pipes close to the panels on the roof, as the pipes feel very hot up there. As older members of this Forum may remember, we had big problems with the company who supplied and installed the panels and are now loathe to get them out to have a look.

Is there anyone out there who could help, or knows of anyone who could help please?

Many thanks!

I think Bruce Jardin 'CSC electical' installs solar hot water systems. I am sure he would be able to look at it.

Fran, plumber in Castillejar may be able to help - he didn't install our panels but did all the associated plumbing, helped with the commissioning and has been helpful with a few problems since - unlike the suppliers who never replied to our requests for follow-up help.
