Or just pop in to the Correos and ask for a copy of the tariffs.

giggle, if we miss the local post office's window of opportunity to get our mail, our postal lady just runs after us with our post, when we hit town and once, just the once, she came to our house with a package.

Huescar is open til 14.30 too.

Website is brill thanks Pebbles.

Also, with the website, if you send a package via a tracked service to the UK for example, the site automatically links you to the Parcel Force site and straight into your package details. Good eh? Twisted Evil

4 the tracked service how does the on-line service work?

Do you pay on-line, print off a label and then hand over the counter at the post office????

No. You tell them at the counter that you require a signature. Depending on the weight of the item you are sending will depend on the type of "receipt" you get back. For example; I sent a 3.7kg package to the uk 2 weeks ago and it had to be tracked because of its value. They used a different service and I got the duplicate copy of an A4 sheet that had a consignment number in the top left corner (it started with CP). I then went to the Correos website, keyed the number in and tracked it and as soon as it was in the UK it linked me directly to Parcelforce. For smaller packages you can use the A6 size forms that are available just inside the entrance (of the Baza one that is) and again, ask for a signature. This time your tracking code will be on the bottom left if I remember correctly. Incidentally, a 3.7kg package that is tracked and insured up to €200 cost me €38 affraid We just don't have the choice of couriers available here like the UK, unfortunately.

OUCH affraid €38 , for a 3.7kg!! package I could get a Ryanair flight for that, (smile).

The packet I want to send is less than 2kg, not worth anything but want to confirm the recipient received it with a signature at the other end.

My advice is to make it as light as possible, or as you dare! I think for that weight you'll be looking at around €14 - don't quote me on that, unless of course I'm spot on lol!

Thanks for that Pebbles. We do offer a courier service and the prices are:

2 kilos - 35,09 (correos 30,26)
2-5 kilos - 38,39 (correos 38,75)
5-10 kilos - 44,35 (correos 52,90)

Our courier servce is fully trackable with a 5 day guaranteed delivery. Packages must be signed for upon delivery.

I hope this is useful. Packages can be sent with a limit of 50 kilos and can be sent anywhere within europe.

I was just going to say try parcel2go, they are normally quite good price wise. I was wrong! We all know some things are cheaper in England and some in Spain but...
29kg 50cm cube: Spain to UK £185.52
29kg 50cm cube: Uk to Spain £26.60
Perhaps it's because Spain to UK is uphill???

You can find us at Calle Angel 15, Orce - just off market square up from the butchers (Carniceria Julian). Drop me a pm if you need any further details.

Forgot to mention earlier that packages are also fully insured.
