Will do - they are so gorgeous, they do need nice names. Rocky and Ginger have just ganged up and eaten all the food I just put out - I will have to watch that! The young one did try to eat, but Ginger flapped her away. The older one has made a nest upstairs and is just sitting there, enjoying her new home I think!??? x

Hi Matilda, just to let you know that I have now chosen their names. The older hen is Bracken and the young one is Fern. I am getting a fairly large egg every day from Bracken, but nothing from Fern so far. Ginger, the hen I already had, lays one very small egg every other day. I was given a big bag of potatoes, peppers and courgettes yesterday - so I think I am going to make some form of Tortilla later! Thanks again for the hens, they really are lovely. Mariposa x
