Alan they are gorgeous! Wish I had room for them, but 2 eggs hatched last year, so I have enough now.

It all happened covertly!  I wasn't aware of what was going on and then suddenly one morning, early November, the sound of little chicks chirping filled the air!

I am on the case this year, gently pushing the broody hen out and removing eggs from the nesting box.  It has worked so far, but another of the hens has now decided to go into hiding.  I think she is in the bank, behind the hen house!  I see her out every other day or so and have tried to block where I think she is going.  There may be more chicks soon, which I will have to get rid of, as I just don't have a big enough house for any more!
