Water sports fun day at El Capricho 17th June

Okay the title is a bit of a cheat but it will involves water, it will be fun and it will certainly be a bit of sport We are having a DOGGIE BATH DAY .on Sunday the 17th June start time around 5pm We have mentioned this to some people already and they all seemed to be up for the laugh , as it is a good way to meet the dogs, really do something worthwhile for the scruffy little devils and have some fun. It will most certainly need as many volunteers as possible and the more we can get the easier it will be and the dogs will become fluffier quicker.

So if you are up for it please let either janaky or myself know, if we can get enough people, we maybe able to get the Baico's bar to open up especially for us for some liquid refreshment afterwards if not I am sure we can come up with somewhere nice to dry off at

Oh P.S you don't have to get wet , we need walkers as much as anything to take the surprized pups for a gentle walk in the sun to dry off.

Count me in for washing, I expect La will help out as well but I'll let her confirm that.

I haven't asked Annie but count us both in as well. I am sure it'll be fun. I will be happy to do walking and expect Annie will be happier bathing!

Oh we know Annie is in, she was really excited about it Sunday . I think she is like us and just wants to see them all fluffy We weren't sure about you Shiny, so it is really good news you are in and going by the others that have replied it looks like it will be all good clean fun , excuse the pun

hi guys just had a thought if there are going to be lots of walkers will there be more leads needed just for the day, also water bowls for washing and rinse off at tap, you're right annie is so excited bless her

Count me in I'll be there for washing or walking I don't mind either. I can bring two bowls and jugs but only one lead.

Yes it is still definitely on. Not sure where they are getting July from, I can only think the summer fayre. I was going to do a reminder and also point out that it doesn't look like we will be able to use the baico's bar as it has been shut for over a week, Not sure if it is a permanent things - I hope not the tapas were great there. Any how discussing with La yesterday we will end up afterwards at the " pine tree bar " don't know it real name but the one on the way to Benamaurel. If anyone could bring plastic jugs, big bowls and spare leads to loan , it would be a real help. We are hoping to have 3 or 4 of the dogs at the dogs show, so we will have get them scrubbed up nicely . I am looking forward to them all looking like fluffy bunnies

Shampooing we have has some shampoo donated by some kind person

that kind person was the new owners of marti (fly) can't wait for sunday I'm like an excited little kid again (annie)

Who's pitching in to do Buster? Should be a laugh I had him on his zip line last night and the button hadn't clicked in properly so as let him out of the pen he took off at speed and nearly took my little finger off in the process - Bless him.

He is David's cute, sweet, little baby and he can have the joys of shampooing him, rinsing him and walking him. We will just watch...... from a distance

Phew!! I'm glad David is going to bath his "baby", I certainly wasn't going to offer. Anyway it should be good fun watching??! Looking forward to the rest though.......I can see the "washers" being a lot wetter than the "washed".

No problem Dave - we had enough of a happy band of helpers anyway - it was fun and I think the majority of the shelter dogs had a blast - I think they thought it was Christmas with all the attention they were getting

I forget my camera but I am hoping soon to get some from others that were there and post them.

I really thought the "dog washing" was going to be absolute mayhem, but no, the dogs made an orderly queue and had their baths!! I was walking the dogs to give them their blow-dry and thought I was going to escape a good soaking. That was nearly true, until Annie decided to empty the "dog bath" over my head!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice one Annie!

Anyway the whole escapade was thoroughly enjoyable, the doggies were all so good and I'd like to think they all felt totally refreshed. It was great to see such a good turn out for the event and we all went for a well earned drink afterwards. Nice one people!
