Is there anyone on here that lives in/around cuevas del campo ? During my visit last year I looked at a couple of caves there, one in particular, lovely people, nice cave, great outside space. Unfortunately, I'd fallen over earlier in the day and messed my knee up, quite..... no.... very painful!! The lady cleaned it up/dressed it for me,so if you are on here I'd like to take this opportunity to say 'thankyou'. I liked what I saw of the town, very tidy, houses looked well maintained, but I did hear that there had been a few 'cave-in' probs in that area ?

never seen an old badger hobble around, maybe it was the local refreshments making you unsteady on your feet LOL

My place is in Cuevas del Campo (and is for sale, if you are interested) and there were a few caves that suffered structural damage a couple of years ago, after several weeks of constant rain.

I think there were 5 caves affected in the same road, and the problem was due to a collapsed drain.

Most of the drainage has now been replaced in the town, so the chances of this happening again are small.

Hi T2BC,thanks for that info, its more or less what I was told. Is your cave on any of the sites,if it is let me have the ref no,and I'll take a look. My house is on the market, and as soon as it sells I,m hoping to make the move to Spain. Thanks again B-)
