Repair Empty Repair

Post by Ponderosa Wed Feb 08, 2012 12:12 pm

We thought our dish washing machine was on the end of its life after 5 years I also have lost my physical motivation but for all that I diagnosed the problem with the dish washer was the drain pump and or the programmer but I asked two different British guys to have a look at it which they did, both told me it was scaled up which I found a little surprising as I have an electric descale treating all our incoming water to the property.
But we started looking to buy a new machine in Baza one shop had very little to show so thought we would try two others we knew, it would seem they have now gone out of business so went home. In the afternoon we phoned John (The Spanish repair guy address below) He said he would be with us the next afternoon at 5pm. 5pm the next day he was there outside our gate.
Inside the cave house took the machine apart found the problem reassembled the machine asked for a mop and cleaned a small amount of water from the floor, showed us the problem, gave us the bill with three months guarantee all within one hour. JOB WELL DONE.

Oh, and the bill came to 40 EUROS and problem was a lemon pip stuck between one of the blades and the outer casing of the pump.

Excellent info Peter, our washing machine keeps complaining everytime we use it, I think it is a loose bearing or something. I will give them a call.

Could you give me a little bit more of an idea where this is in Baza ? I can't find the street on the map and don't recognise the area

That is why I ask where he is ? sometimes with the help of hand gestures and maps you can get the point across easier, he wouldn't find us in a month of Sundays by just giving him our address , it took the post office 6 months Very Happy

For the repair man.
Our daughter and I thought it would be a good idea if you typed out what you wanted to say on Google translator she said it would be here enough for him to know what you wanted

Dunno if this will help or not, I had a rattle in mine when it spun. Just like something was caught between the drum and the drum wall. It was, so I tilted the machine forward and heard the item rattling. so I shook the machine and tilted it towards the filter (you might need a hand) eventually the thing dropped into the filter and I fished it out It was a nail. It happened once more with a coin. How these things got through I dont know, they were much bigger than the holes in the drum.
