Does anyone know of any fiestas coming up soon or during the christmas period or any live music dates please...thank you

There is a wine and local produce fayre in Baza , this Sunday - see under " What's on " as yet nobody else has put anything on, for any others but always worth checking the " Calender " Pebbles puts things on there once she has been informed of any.

Baza also has a Christmas evening market , mid December, as yet it is not on their web page but I check it regularly for updates and let Pebbles know. If you hear of anything in Freila or anywhere else for that matter it would be really good to know about it

What time does the wine thingy start and where is it? i know i can check the whats on but just wanted to ask

is the plaza mayor where the museum is? near the guardia civil?

I have got it from a very good local source that this is an excellent event to attend. It is this coming Sunday 4th Dec at the Plaza Mayor. Several local wine producers and food producers get together to offer free tastings, An excellent opportunity to work out what is your favorite local wine is and buy at very good prices. If in fact at the end of it you can remember what your favorites were and don't just stagger off having bought the nearest crate much the same applies to the tapas that will be on offer.

The day starts at 11.45 with a procession and mass at the main church .

12.30 The municipal song and dance group will perform in the Plaza Mayor

13.00 the " Country Wine tasting" and tasting of typical products starts n the Plaza

Oh I had better add a bit of a warning - during the Casmorras there was a fair bit of breathalyzing going on, designated drivers with a good memory would be a huge advantage .

Oh Mikey I thought you were off the happy juice, don't think this area has coffee producers Nah really I think you should come along , your favorite pussy cat will be there and we are pretty much determined to get blotto and dance in the Plaza
