new member!
Hi! Not strictly a "cave dweller" but I've not long purchased an old farm house in the Cullar area and will be looking to diy it over the coming months.
I've read a fair bit of the forum and you all seem friendly people, all willing to help each other and I think I'm gonna need a fair bit of help and advice so I thought I'd join and say hello!!!!
We won't be full time residents to start with but hope to get over to the area as much as possible......once the house is habitable!!
Hope to make use of your collective local knowledge.......but please be gentle with me / us!!
Regards for now
KK

Hi ,Welcome and best wishes with your exciting project .
We found one of the most time consuming things was finding out where to get things and for that reason alone this forum is invaluable, amongst other things of course So hope to see you a lot on here .

Re: new member!
Twisted fire starter, thanks for the reply and to all the others who've welcomed me to the forum. To answer the question if you know you're football (and it would seem you do!!) then the no.7 goes quite rightly alongside KK!!
Happy to say after 12 years of waiting I have just got a season ticket!! Time will now be split between L4 and Cullar 18850, and as we live in the sunny south of the uk that's gonna be a lot of travelling!

Hi King Kenny, good to hear of your reform. Youre more than welcome hear on the forum. You dont have to be a cave owner to join in! Keep us updated on how it all goes. Sounds really interesting.
Re: new member!
Thanks to you all for the replies and good wishes. Reading through some of the topics and posts has already helped with some of the concerns we had....so ta a lot to all!!
Does anyone know of any van hire companies here (uk) or in the baza (and surrounding areas) that does one way hire so I can bring some furniture etc down to the reform when and as it becomes more habitable? All of the ones i've seen are miles away or have gone bust / out of business!!! All help and tips appreciated.

Re: new member!
I looked into the one way van thing a while ago, and it was a non starter. Instead I bought a cheapy van in the uk, packed my stuff and made sure I have european recovery (ADAC, cost about £80 for the year) then set off, knowing that if I broke down, I would get recovered to our cave. As it happened if made it there and back to the UK, I then sold it the day I landed at Plymouth for the sam ount that I paid for it.
Or if you put your details in the 'lifts wanted' forum, you may strike lucky. There is often somebody taking a van back or forth with room.
Wher in the uk are you travelling from?
