It's that time again and I've decided to get the collars in for those who want them. Unfortunately there has been price increases but I'm going to cover the increase in courier cost which means in real terms the collars only increase by 50cents. So that's €14.50 for Regular and €15.50 for Large. This is still far cheaper than you'll find in any shops or vets.

My aim is to place the order by the end of next week, sooner if order volume allows.

Are these the collars that shock your dog into doing what they are told to do?

No, they're the white ones you normally get from the vet which can help to prevent Leishmaniasis.

Be aware that cats that have close contact with dogs wearing these collars are at risk of being adversely affected by the chemicals in them.

Yes, whilst that is an outside possibility, which I think everyone who uses these collars would already be well aware of, we've had 4 cats living under the same roof with as many, if not more dogs, all wearing the collars. No adverse effect noticed in over two years.

Like most things in life it's pot-luck, 99% of owners who have a cat & dog household will have no problem, but then of course there's always that 1%.

I'm not a vet, so if anyone does have technical questions about the collar please contact your local vet, the manufacturer or blatant.

Ive just looked up the data sheet for these, and it dosen't say its dangerous to cats. It does say that they shouldn't be fitted to cats. It dosen't say that they shouldn't be fitted to hampsters, parrots or ducks. So dont be alarmed! Im sure any case of cats having adverse effects is minute.
Oh, it does say that you shouldn't let children under 2 years old put them in their mouth. Should they put any collar in their mouth?
I may get one, trial it out on the wife, and send a lab report back to blatent. Until then, its not recommended to put one on your wife.
