Once again we had a fantastic result at the car boot and exceeded 415e Incredible!!!
Thank you so much to everyone for making this possible: to the volunteers who helped; the supporters who donated items previously, and today at the car boot; the people who came and bought our items; and the people who popped along just to say hello and give a cash donation.
It was a fantastic day, and we all really appreciate your support.
Please do remember that this is a voluntary organisation run by local Spanish people. Our main focus is in educating and raising awareness about animal care; we are currently working on projects such as neutering programmes, developing and proposing improved legislation, and building proper kennels. After lengthy and intense negotiation, we have recently been given a nave for use for our refuge dogs by the Ayuntamiento, but we do not receive funding. Nor are we intent on taking away from any other local organisations which help animals. On the contrary, our goal is to unite people who are concerned about animals within our region, and to give those animals the voice which they deserve.
The next car boot will be on 4th September - If you have a donation of items for sale to make, please call me on 620 98 60 59, or PM me, Happy Chic or Shiny and we'll make arrangements with you.
Many thanks
Jo

Hi Carol
I am very sorry to say that all of our cages are full so we can't take him at the kennels. Can you take a photo of him? And any idea of his approx. age? We could put him on here, and there is a Spanish dog adoption network site too which it is worth putting him on. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
If anyone can offer him a temporary home, we can work to finding him a permanent one. Small dogs like Scotties find homes quicker than other dogs.

Dave
The graphic is the design for car stickers that have already been produced.
However, we are looking at getting a couple of bits of publicity materials/merchandise made up - we have a printing firm locally, but would welcome other prices.

Re: Today's car boot results
Very nice day, went to the Baza car boot market with my wife and daughter met many people we class as friends and met two people from the forum (Very nice people) plus Ann and her partner, which also helped to make our day, we then went to the lake for lunch (very happy waitress smile on her face even it was so hot for her to work). The ride gave us chance to try out the air conditioning which I had re gassed, What with the heat of the day and shandy plus coffee chaser I had no problem coming home and having an hours sleep. So thought I would send this poster to say I just hope you have had a great day to.
