There's a place called Lolo who charges 50€ a jcb scoop/bucket.
He is situated on the other side of the autovia from the Hotel Abade.
Access is from the roundabout for Baza and is exit prior to the one for Murcia.
The travel parrallel to the motorway, pass a Red Cross building then heavy plant depot and it's on the right hand side

How does a 'scoop' equate to a remolque car trailor please? I can't visualise a scoop!

There are lots of different sized trailers.

However the jcb bucket scoop used fills a 4ish feet by 3ish feet trailer

Nige - some friends of mine got a good price from a place on the Caniles Road, on the left-hand side, just before you reach La Torre residential care home. They had a choice of olive or almond, and were pleased not only with the price but also the size of the pieces, which is another important consideration. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be confronted with a pile of logs, half of which are too large for the woodburner. Unfortunately, I don't know what they paid, but it would be worth your while driving out there to check. The prices change anyway with the seasons. It's always cheaper to buy in the summer.

As a "rough" rule a jcb bucket is 1 cubic meter. Or if you prefer, 100cm X 100cm X 100cm lol!

There is a guy that also sells trailer loads for €65 delivered. I find the pieces a bit awkward though as they are the "knuckles" of olive trees and a real pig to chop into manageable lumps. Still, it's a good workout for the lats, delts, traps and pecs Twisted Evil

On the subject of lumps of wood, I'm after one or two large tree stumps. Must be nice and cylindrical. Can anyone help with that please?

Oh you're too funny genius. Don't even try to start pulling me up on my ONE spelling mistake. Fair play for spotting it, but leave it at that now before I start getting medieval on you Twisted Evil
