Famous Caves

Our Cave Houses here in Granada region are more famous than I thought, They feature heavily in Andalucian Symbolism, Drama and Flamenco etc. Including in a play by Lorca "Mariana Pineda" where apparently they feature quite heavily, The play was translated into English and starred a young Peter Ustinov, who was given pictures of gypsies etc. in front of their caves to give him and the cast inspiration. You learn something every day!.

I wondered why we got so many Spanish people from far and wide wandering about wanting to look at the caves. I'll see if I can get more info, or if anyone else has any let us know. Maybe some famous Spanish people were born/lived in Caves? I know that 1 or 2 Toreros were born and lived in caves but don't know their names.
