Matresses, white goods and man with a van !

Hi all,

Its been a while since I last posted, although I check in constantly for useful hints and advise.

We have been busy since our last post having both visited cave country and having bought our own cave house on the outskirts of Baza.

We are planning our first visit back in a couple of months to start to get the place shipshape and are looking for some more advise.

1. Is there anywhere in Baza where can we buy good matresses (memory foam or similar). Or do we need to travel further afield ?
2. Where is the best place to buy white goods - washing machine and fridze freezer ?
3. Where is the nearest municipal dump/tip ?
4. Can anyone recommend a 'man with a van' as we need to empty old furniture/matresses out of the cave ?
5. Or is there anywhere in Baza where we can hire a van ?

There are shops selling electrical goods in Baza, two on the opposite side if the road to Dia and Consum among others and for more choice, good prices and free delivery try Guadix, we've had a couple of things from there at good prices as well as a dishwasher from the electrical outlet in Baza so quite a bit of choice without going too far.

You can arrange for large items to be picked up by the local rubbish collection. Talk to the Ayuntamiento and see what they say. Generally all you have to do is leave it near the bin.
And if one of your neighbours doesn't have it away first the bin men'll take it.

Memory foam mattresses - the supermarket Dia has an online catalogue with household stuff and electrics.  We bought our memory foam mattresses from there.  They are good quality, big range and decent prices.  Delivered pretty quickly too.
