"Dodgy" White Van

We've just had a van with 3 "travellers" come up to our front door, which, if you knew where we lived is not really something that happens by accident.

It was a knackered old white Hi-Top Transit, Reg J-8283-Z and the glass on the rear left side door was smashed. There were two men and a woman, all probably in their 40's. They claimed they were looking for a washing machine!!!!!!!!!!!

Seen again today "lurking" down some of the campo tracks.

Probably just asking for scrap metal to strip and recycle and make a few bob!

Maybe but they did tell us they were looking for one thing, and a neighbour another thing entirely.

And out of the long list of words they could have used for metal of one sort or another, they chose washing machine.

Dodgey gas van around again in Fuente Nueva too. Legit company, dubious tactics to get cash. Be warned.

i had a dodgy white van turn up where i was working last week looking for scrap metal, two women and one bloke, the two women carried a cast iron bath on their own while the bloke watched, i offered to help but they were happy to carry on without me.
Anyone know what sort of price they get for the scrap metal?
