just to let everyone know, we have 130  people(we know of) coming next saturday, this is your last chance to let us know if you want a 4euro dinner which includes a meat roll (ALT for veggies) salad mix dishes, and 1 drink,   extra drinks 1euro  cakes and pasties extra available on day, 
please bring a seat if you have one (there is picnic area but seating is limited)
raft building starts at 10am 
qualifying and racing starts at 12
it will be a great day  with lots of laughs all at the rafters expence and all for a good cause

yes rosie   qualifying first then race after so that every raft gets 2 goes, hehe so must be able to float if poss:shock:

That's asking a bit much..nobody said anything about it floating as well!

we have just been informed that the picnic area is a month behind, so we have dashed down there today and the race is now being held at the thermal baths there is a drop down to the lake but there is no natural shade so please bring brollies or any shading that you have and chairs and sun cream ' it's still on' please let anyone you know thats going

We are trying to get a little team together to trim the tamarisk bushes back a little, if anyone could lend a hand it would be much appreciated.

Dear All,
After much dithering & faffing regarding the logistics of feeding 154 people plus I have decided on the following;

From 9am until 11.30am
Breakfast pitta's consisting of fried egg, bacon and sausage.

From 1pm the El Capricho lunch at 4€ will be a choice of
Chicken liver pate & sweet pepper relish
Egg mayonnaise
Hummus
Cold roasted pork, sage & onion stuffing & apple sauce
All served in rolls or pitta with a mixed salad & a can of drink

Also available
Steak pasties
Slices of pork pie
Sausage rolls
Vegetarian sausage rolls
Vegetarian Scotch eggs
Various cakes.

I had best get started!

A few people have contacted me regarding friends/family who for health reasons are not as steady on their feet as they'd like to be, please explain this to the designated parking person when you arrive and access will be given for you to drop off people at the placeta where they will be able to see the race easily. Please park your vehicle allowing good access to the bar above & most importantly to allow any emergency vehicles access to the waters edge in case of injury and fire - Smokers please ask us for a cup of water to take to your seating area so that you can put your ciggies out properly we will collect them when we clear up.

Last thing (honestly) please can all rafts have a mooring rope attached as the rafts shall remain in the water until the event is over as space by the waters edge is limited.
