Did I miss the Summer ???

What a strange week ! Its got cooler and cooler all week then today ends with torrents of rain ! Is that it ? No of course not I forgot this is Spain not England, still got 3 more months of lovely weather !!

.......it is very unusual to be cool like this in June!

I'm actually quite liking it, as long as it doesn't go on for too long. It's still short-sleeves weather, and it's good to have a few refreshing days when the heat isn't too enervating.

Meanwhile is West Berkshire it is 20C and cloudy and the rain is on its way!!!

Looked more like the UK when I poked my nose out of the door this morning at 8a.m. - grey sky, cool and drizzly. Seems the weather the world over has gone doolally! x

Wilma, are you sure we will get at least 3 months of summer???? It seems to be getting shorter and shorter each year!! Getting too much like UK in my opinion....

I can remember over the years it has often been like this in June. I remember Wendy and I were out one year delivering The Sierras and in a hurry to get back for the end of year school plays and we got hit by flash floods, hail, thunder - you name it! It was awful - but short lived!

In between you get beautiful blue skies, sunshine and crazy high temperatures. As a sun worshiper I love it - the only thing is it never loves me and I would love to have the tan that many of you end up with after a few weeks in the sun....

Another week or so then I reckon it will be sunshine through to September (give or take a few days)!

Ho hum - Sorry to be a killjoy, but latest weather news (5 minutes ago) is that motorways etc. are collapsing in northern Spain because of severe flooding, same as they did here a few months ago, and the rain's on its way south . . .

Here's an animation of the rain in the south east corner of Spain (Murcia/Andalucia) for the past 2 days. It's quite relaxing to watch if you aren't caught up in it

Hi Col, for once the weather seems to be better there, it's raining cats and dogs again today.

Cats and dogs! I think it was raining a whole zoo!

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, It's here! it's here! Well done for singing everyone. Even better in the space of an hour got all the bed clothes dry. Now for a beer in the SUNSHINE.

And guess who got caught up in a thunderstorm this morning!

I set out and it was nice and sunny doing my walk around the lake in Castril and as I came up the hill the heavens opened up.....

I ended up taking cover under the tunnel with the local Policia guy (who was out for a run) for 15 minutes waiting for it to stop enough so we could get back! All these cars past and nobody stopped to offer a lift - amazing!

Just got back to the car before it came around again. Needless to say I am not leaving the house again today! The sun is MEANT to come out tomorrow!

Sorry guys, I think I was singing a little too much today!! Now the rain's so heavy we've lost our TV signal. Oh dear, does that mean I won't be able to watch the football!! We've got several episodes of "Vampire Diaries" to get through.....and a bottle of pink fizz!! Yay!! x
