14 Nov – Possible General Strike – Spain / France

We have been advised of a possible general strike in Spain / France on Wednesday 14th November, we anticipate that if this strike action goes ahead it will significantly disrupt flights to/from Spain / France resulting in delays and cancellations. Passengers booked to travel to/from Spain / France on the 14th November who wish to change their flight (free of charge) to alternative flights on the 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th or 17th November have the following options:

If you have not already checked in online - click here and enter your booking details
If you have already checked in online - to transfer your flight (free of charge) to an alternative date - please call a contact centre - click here

Some flights scheduled on 14th November have been guaranteed to operate by the Spanish government and will not be cancelled but may be delayed – click here for flight details

Please note that only impacted sectors may be changed free of charge.

In the event that we are forced to cancel flights we ask passenger to monitor this notice for updates.

Until further notice we recommend that you do not check in for your flight on the 14th November.

Yes this has affected me! I've had to change my flight due to this General Strike and lost 2 days work in the process!!
If they think it's going to solve anything they are sadly wrong! If anything it will make things worse! Evil or Very Mad

Sorry for those people that this strike and the last ones caused and for money lost, but 5.2 million people are out of work here and are loosing there houses, family, transport so there is a need to stand up and be counted..we have paid into the Spanish system for nearly 9 years and are included in being laid off with no prospect of work for the future at the moment... It is being proven that austerity measures dont work and will slow things down in the economies of europe if an up turn eventually comes..The German chancellor MERKAL is lapping it up with causing so much misery to normal working families..
