Propane bottles
Yes, but that implies more technical knowledge than i have
It is the small one which goes in a camping stove but not the round dumpy one if that makes sense?? The bottles look a bit like lighter fuel bottles but bigger!
Sorry, crap description but best I can come up with. I know what I mean. Just have no idea where to look here for such things....

Re: Propane bottles
The ferreteria in Huescar has these. The one on the right hand side on the bend as you go out towards the industrial estate. Very expensive though compared to UK price.

Propane bottles
Yes, that's the type of stove and bottles! I can get the stove on Amazon for £8.50 but didn't want to get it in case I couldn't find the bottles here. They have them on Amazon too but obviously don't send them in the mail.
Just want it as back up as we get power cuts from time to time and we have a young baby to keep supplied with bottles of milk. All our water heating options are electric.
I presume the Ferreteria in Huescar also has the bottles?
Presume Mures is in Cullar and if so where exactly as not overly familiar with there?!
Thanks guys for your help

Re: Propane bottles
Mures is approx 30 mins drive from Freila. Directions are:
From Freila get on motorway towards Baza. Continue until you pass Venta del Peral. The next junction is for Cullar (sorry can't remember the junction number). Take this exit and turn left at the top. Over the next mini roundabout and Mures builders merchants is there on the right, opposite the jamon factory. You can't miss it!
Failing them, you could try Thomas's ferreteria, just past the Montecarlo bar on the Galera road out of Cullar.
Hope this helps.

Re: Propane bottles
Here is a picture showing the 10mm notch in the rim, and the outlet valve.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The notch is there to align it with a safety latch inside the camping stove, so nothing else will fit. The plastic cap only covers the valve, so if you can see the notch and the measurements are right, you have the correct one.

Re: Propane bottles
Just wanted to say that the stove arrived from Amazon and I got the correct bottles in the Ferreteria in Huescar this morning. So many thanks to Taught2bCautious and others for the advice.
The stove is fab and cost only £8.50 from Amazon and the bottle was 2 euros. Low cost option for emergencies! We do get a fair few power cuts so at least now we can still make tea, heat soup and most importantly heat up the baby's milk!
Would defo recommend to others as a useful back up!
Thanks again all for the advice x
Oh, and it is butane, not propane...d'oh!

You're most welcome as long as you don't mind changing nappies and playing with kittens! That basically sums up a visit to ours

If you have a petrol station a bit closer to you than Huescar, check there. The Shell one on the way to Huescar, def sells them. x
