car wanted or bike

Looking for a cheap (to run and insure) small car to buy ( or even a 125cc motorbike) Stuck out in the campo.

I noticed the boot sale at Baza on sunday had a couple of cheap cars and bikes. How much are you considering as cheap?

Ideal would be small diesel LHD matriculated. If someone was going back to Britain and selling up,that sort of situation. Looking for cheap running costs more than the initial outlay,however i don't have much to play with.

My friend, Imagemaker, got her relatively cheap car from the garage at Cullar, an old Diesel Ford fiesta, still going strong. Even though she is not here any more, one of my nieghbours bought it. It's on the road out of Cullar, on the right, sort of opposite the road to the swimming pools.

That's Moises from Javy motors! Yellow car place on same side as Galp and Olibaza. There's a couple of motors for sale on the wall at Vista, one for 400 I think, but it's on UK plates.

there was a Spanish registered LHD Fiesta (Postman Pat type) for 650 at the Baza car boot at the weekend.

Thanks for info. latest situation is that I have been attempting to repair my old car with the kind help and assistance of a friend who knows what he is doing. have done the breaks, suspension and now onto the drive shaft,cv joints. Will still be the cheapest option if we get it all done.

Best option too John, You know all the work has been done. Buying a cheap car can spell loads of trouble. Hope you get it sorted and are mobile again. You'll be looking for a tour bus next!

There's a good looking motor down at New2You for €375. (I've not driven it or heard it running).

Perhaps you'll put a few less concrete blocks in it this time John!

John in the next couple of days, we are going to be putting our Volvo Est on the forum , when I find time to find out all the details from Hubby and take pics . She is a classic, well looked after all her life and although we love her, we haven't the cash or the time to get her matriculated, she already has headlights from a US car, we needed to do this while in Portugal.

We will be asking around 390 euros but of course then there is the matriculation sort out.
