fiesta,dance,vino,good food baza

What a great time everyone had at the VINO DE CATO fiesta in the plaza mayor..Amazing how all this could be put on for free in this day and age..The church service well attended,the Baza school of dance and music treated us to a great display and some good old vino del pais and migas and much more ..where were all the British as usual only a few of us attended...one can only assume it was too Spanish for them as per normal..

Did they have much left when you finished Pedro?

like i said before...think it may have been too Spanish and that means they have to leave the comfort zone....another factor is the food,no iceland,no morrisons and no life outside of the English rose next to the corner shop

Great time and great atmosphere! - locals were really eager to give you free vino! ...there'd be a riot if that happened back in Leeds centre

It was good wasn't it and I totally agree Metaldunk we kept saying it could never have been like that in the UK, all the locals were lovely, having a good time and being more than hospitalble to the few Brits there.

Pedro was it you that we asked the whereabouts of Mikey towards the end ? If it was I apologise I should have introduce myself , me dumbut after a few vino's - oh well another time

We always attend the Spanish fiestas and really enjoy them. The problem is that in this area most of the Brits seem to be homebodies and miss out on the opportunity to mix with the locals. Though normally if you mention anything is free they usually pop out of the woodwork.

You would be suprised how many Spaniards live in London. Lots of Spanish bars and even free tapas.
But have been coming to Spain since the 1950´s

sounds good...can you still get a beer there for a pound that includes the tapas...not been back for years
