Just to mention three items, my wife tells me that Lidl is selling coffee (special offer) 4 packs = 7.99€ / Consum price is 1 pack = 2.39 €. Consum price for the toilet rolls we use are 2.18€ and at Macbel (Over the road) are 1.98€.
And a nice surprise at the garage in the same area the petrol for our car (95) was 1.37€ a litre and is now 1.29€ this should be good for bringing prices down all round

Petrol in the castril top garage was 1.27 yesterday, i asked the guy working there if he had made a mistake but he just laughed and reckoned it would be going down again soon

The petrol station in El Margen is usually high up as the cheapest place to purchase.

The little diesel pump place at the olive factory on the Benaumarel junction from Cullar is usually the cheapest around. When we first arrived here we thought it wasn't for the general public but it is. Great find! As Blatant said El Margen is also one of the cheapest.

I don´t think many of these are European!
And I´d rather live here than Kazachstan or the Ukraine - there´s more to life than super-cheap fuel.
It would be interesting to see what the average wage is in some of these countries too - I reckon it will be low in many of them.
(Ooops - forgot that I don´t have a car!)

Tax on fuel drives up the price of every thing the same as VAT. A tax by another name.
