As I said previously, it is very good home cooked Spanish food - excellent value for money and a choice on each course too. x

At 3 euros for Menu del Dia, I hope they get tipped generously, cos they can't be making very much profit at that price........

Eating out for under 3€
Nobody has to go hungry in Spain, I was told only yesterday by someone who knows and has been involved with what is better known by the British as “Soup Kitchen” here in Baza, the super markets here give their surplus food to it even at times chocolate bars. The person telling me lives on the bread line themselves.

Do you know Peter, Supermarkets back in the UK are not allowed to do this, Some STUPID !!!! health and safety law. I worked at a supermarket back home for a while, bit of a posh one WR I will say no more and they HAD! to throw so much stock away that would have been perfectly alright for " soup kitchens " etc - the world of being PC sometimes has no logic to it No

There is a place to the left just inside the door where you can donate, now this is definitely some where I will donate to. Are all these other charities etc. etc. registered in Spain?

When I went to take these pictures there yesterday there were 10 or 12 people already standing and waiting to be fed

I can vouch that "El Capricho" is a registered charity and comes under the banner of the " Asociacion protectora de animals " which is a nationwide organisation. El Capricho is the Baza branch which has full backing of the Ayuntamiento of Baza . It is a very fair question to ask and I am going to do a new thread on it, just in case anybody else has any doubts.
