Hi John,
Do you specifically want a DVD type?
As I have a Sony one that takes tapes!

Hi I am not sure as it needs to be digital so that I can post art lessons on U tube to go along with an E book I am writing. Need to talk to someone who knows more about this stuff. does yours record on little tapes that you then fit into a bigger one that plays on your tv etc? regards john

A Digital camera (not tapes, it'll be too fiddly and time consuming and probably expensive) which comes with a USB lead, to connect directly to your computer/laptop. flower

John, You could just use a good quality webcam connected to the PC unless of course you want it portable so you can carry it around with you. If you want it portable then Sue is right most digital cameras are capable of taking videos as well as stills. You'll find many even have a Youtube mode or even a Youtube sticker on the outside.

You can then use Windows Movie Maker which comes free with Windows XP and above to do the editing.

If you want to ask any questions please pm me or get my email from Mat.

A 'point and shoot' digital camera with 'Movie Mode', on a tripod, would do the job! You would have to work out how much memory you would need depending on how long you want to 'film' for and use a memory card to suit.
