dining table

I am on the look out for a big (6-8 ftish) rectangular solid wood table -- old preferrably - ok if it is worn.

Have you asked New2U if they have one? I haven't been for a while, but always worth a look. I have bought some really nice secondhand stuff from them in the past. Might be worth a telephone call to ask.

Lisa - Don't know what happened about Mack's table & chairs, and hope they were suitable. If not, two friends of mine have made large table-tops from reclaimed timber they bought from the place in Velez Rubio (near Timber 2 Go - name, peeps?). Nice old furniture is almost impossible to find hereabouts; you can't go junk-hunting in the same way as you can in the UK. It all goes either on the wood-burner or is sold with the family cave.

Mack had a lovely tables and chair set but I am going to see if we can fit a table top at least into our Transit when we drive back from our next visit to UK with the rest of our stuff. Will check out the reclaimed timber place though if it all goes pair shaped Ta
