Autonomo info

I have spoken to a few people and read various bits online, but after peoples experience and knowledge on being registered Autonomo.

I found a website that says several things were changed and updated last year and these two items caught my attention..

1. The first stage of Tarifa Plana, the Social Security contributions discounted to 50 euros/month for new Autonomos now lasts 12 instead of 6 months.
   
2. You can take a ´break/baja´ 3 times per calendar year , and you will only pay for the days worked/registered/alta in those´on and off´ months. This is a major improvement to the previous system where you had to pay for a full month irrespective of the date of your alta/baja.
   
3. Possibility to work as part-time Autonomo, with corresponding adapted social security contributions.
   

If anyone can shed any light on these points, it is particularly point 3 that interests me as would only be looking to do a little freelance work.

It might be a good idea to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau Spain, to get the right information that applies to you.

You could also employ the services of a Gestor, who will be able to look into 'your' situation and find out what will apply to you personally.

Thank you Mariposa, this info was supposedly from citizens advice, so would be interesting to see how accurate it is.

You could check out their website and ask them about information that is relevant to you.
