Not long now.
Hi everyone,
I will be moving into my very own cave in a couple of months. Just dealing with final questions from our buyers solicitors, like "have you ever maintained a pig sty on the property or have done any obnoxious trade on the property". It's a small terrace house built in 1962 and the covenant is dated 1928 and I don't think any of the questions are relevant!
My Spanish estate agent/solicitor/surveyor are moving things along nicely and if I'm lucky, everything will slot into place at the same time. Wish me luck

Thanks Viv,
I'm so looking forward to being able to stuff everything in our moving lorry and just GO! I've been itching to pay the deposit on the house but the solicitor/surveyor is taking longer than I thought. Things are moving along so I'm not too worried, but arghhhh.

Congratulations that's great news, only a month to go, all getting very exciting I am sure.
I know how we were at that point.
See you just after Christmas.

Re: Not long now.
10 Days left! got to Spain yesterday, the drive was ridiculously long especially when alone in the car. Now waiting with my Mum for the moving day on the 26th
have all our wordly possessions in a moving lorry parked at my Mums house!
But I no longer live in the UK or OOK as i realised the Spanish call it lol, and not long to go before I get my Spanish ID either
Happy days.

Re: Not long now.
Hello Cave Monkey. I am in, not quite settled yet as it's been a crazy week as other half had to drive back to Seville to collect the second van load of stuff and now we have no where to put anything as they left EVERYTHING in this house. So we are now looking around at all the furniture deciding what will be firewood for this winter, more than likely it will be our old stuff that will be ash soon....
You return just before Christmas don't you?

Re: Not long now.
Natasha,
It takes a while I know, we spent our first week moving things around.
Before you destroy or dispose of anything, we would be grateful for a look at anything you may not need if it is serviceable. It's going to be a few years before we move out full time so need to make do for a while.
If you don't mind of course, pm me with a note of anything that is surplus, I am sounding like a right begger now.
We are out on Boxing Day, cant wait, got wet this morning walking the dog, in the dark.
That will have to do for now as the next thing on my list to do today is work.

Re: Not long now.
Hi cave monkey
add me on Facebook, the link is in my profile and I can send you photos of our surplus stuff. Some is really nice but just won't fit and as there are very few second hand shops, plus we only have a car now, so transport of larger items would be an issue. But add me and we can chat.
