Printer charger/adaptor needed

I have an HP Deskjet 3050a printer/scanner. I need a new charger/adaptor cable. Loathe to order from the internet because of the problems we have previously had with courier companies. Does anyone know of any shops in the area that may be able to get me a replacement or somewhere that could repair wiring. Break in the wiring right where it goes into the adaptor unit, thanks
