we get a few but we do have water buts close to the house. My husband gets bites but I rarely do depends on if you are tasty or not. As to when they start is more difficult to say there are the larvae in the water already.

Can't do any harm to bring some, although different sorts are available in the shops in Spain and are just as effective.

I too suffer badly from the various insects that bite here. I am just in the middle of building a large fly screened area in my courtyard for that very reason!

A friend recently told me that B Complex helps to keep insects from biting you. I have just started taking the capsules that I ordered, so fingers crossed.

Bring your insect repellent, it will be cheaper that buying stuff here!

Enjoy your visit!

I haven't seen any mosquitos yet, but there's little biting insects in the grass, so worth bringing repellant if you're sensitive.

I have just spent the afternoon in the garden, putting up a screen around my water tank and pump. The wasps, etc, were buzzing around me the whole time. For the first time since I have lived here, not one stung me. Maybe the B Complex is working!?

They hate Oregano Oil,just a drop on your clothes keeps them away,or on your garden furniture, get it off the herb stall on most markets, brilliant stuff for all kinds of things, and I'm no Hippie !
