Abandoned Puppy - NOW RE-HOMED!
Out walking (well hopping) my three legged dog this morning, I heard a little bark. Looking over the frost covered land, I saw a small puppy on its own. As I moved towards it, it ran away. I turned to leave, then spotted it across in another direction. My little dog and I headed towards it, this time it stayed still and I managed to pick it up. It fell asleep in my arms on the walk home.
Breakfast sorted, phonecalls made for a supply of puppy food and a temporary bed made up of dog towels on the floor, sleep mode returned...

After managing to haul out the box I used for last years abandoned pups, cleaning it out and moving my sitting room around to accommodate it, 'pup' has a safe, indoor shelter.

Lunchtime sorted, he headed for the door and went out to the garden to relieve himself - WHAT A GOOD BOY!!! He has done this twice since.
He has one blue and one brown eye, comes when called, is clean, a little underweight but eats and drinks well now. I guess he is about 2 months old, as he is a little wobbly on his feet. I think he will be a fairly large dog when fully grown.
PLEASE, PLEASE can anyone give this smart little lad a home? Living with a disabled dog, who gets a tad grouchy with other dogs in the house, I just can't keep this lovely little fella.
Thanks,
Caroline

Aww he is such a sweetie and going to be a gorgeous boy with his mismatched eyes, something I find adorable but a lot of locals think it is bad luck
He is a very lucky little chap to have found you, I can see he is in very good temporary hands.
Can I suggest you register with http://www.spanimal.org and if you like I can asked El Capricho to put it on their FARCEBOOK and web site - just let me know.
BTW I had a 3 legged dog once - they really are amazing aren't they? I was wondering the story behind him / her being a tripawd ?

Re: Abandoned Puppy - NOW RE-HOMED!
Hi Cave Bunny, the crate was to transport a friends cats from UK to here and was very kindly donated last year when I had the other two pups. I cut out the wire in the middle so that the pups could share the box, so now this pup has a place to sleep and the other side to wee if I need to lock him in for any reason. I managed to pen an area infront of the crate last night and he slept through until 7.15am - really good! x x
Hi Cavern, I have been registered with Spanimal for several years, but thanks for the suggestion - yes please could you get him on the El Capricho web site - that would be great! He really is a very good dog and will make a fantastic pet. He is doing everything he should outside, which is truly amazing.
Worming and vaccinations will be starting asap, as I believe he is around 2 months old, so he will have his passport ready for any new owner.
My little 3 legged dog is from the North of Spain - Asturias - where I used to live. He was out from his Spanish owners house and a car hit him, then another. He was in a very bad state, broken front leg, teeth, tail, etc... He apparently hopped home and was thrown out. His Spanish owner didn't want to pay the vets bills.
For 3 years he lived on the streets, being fed by the local butchers and others in the village, until I took him in. He is a very sociable dog, but home is his and he is getting quite snarly with the pup now!
Must dash, a dog, puppy and some chickens need feeding! x

The pic ( pup in towels ) is getting a fair bit of notice on farcebook and is being shared around, so fingers crossed. Oh and just to say El Capricho nows uses Spanimal as from today so fingers crossed all the dogs can find a nice home.

but I have just adopted 2 dogs found a wandering , that brings it up to 5 .
If you wanted to reduce it to 4, i could find a home for the English Setter

I think you would have to fight my hubby for her but if at any time you do want a setter I have the contact details of the English setter shelter in Murcia, it is amazing how many setters get abandoned

The vet has done her first check up and thinks that the pup may be around 3 months old and Husky/Mastin breed. He has been wormed and will have his first vacc's and second worming treatment on the 15th along with his passport. Two weeks later will be the second vaccination and two weeks after that the final vaccination will be administered.
