Yes been using it for a little while now. Can't always count on being able to get the tv station or film to work though. A friend of mine says there is a way to download films for later viewing. He is currently investigating.Watch this space.

Kodi's great yeh, as long as you don't mind waiting for things to work.. and trying different streams till you get success!

through Kodi we use Exodus for films and series, and Sports Devil for all sports

I like the radio addons too for any uk local radio stations/any world stations - using 'Radio' app on the music section

If you haven't found it there is a specific KODi UK TV site. click Most of the Android TV boxes that exist have a version of KODI on them. KODI developers are reducing support on Android as they are coming under copyright theft pressure. There is a court case in the UK about it at present. click for more

Hi all,
There is another app you can download which is entirely similar to Kodi, and this is called MOBDRO.
You can download directly to Android devices or through an "agent" such as BLUESTACKS to download to windows devices. Worth having a look to compare quality.

To download a film from Exodus:-
Plug in USB stick or hard drive you will use for storage.
Go to SETTINGS > FILE MANAGER to see what system is calling it. My USB stick comes up as NEW_Volume and my hard drive as MY_BOOK.
Go to Exodus and select TOOLS > general settings
At the top of the page are a number of tabs GENERAL is highlighted.
Press right arrow key 4 times to highlight DOWNLOADS.
Press down arrow and select ENABLE DOWNLOADS
Press down arrow to Movies and press ENTER you should noe see a list which includes the name of your USB drive.
Highlight the drive and click on OK at the right hand side of the screen.
Click down again and follow same procedure for TV
Click OK on bottom of page.

To record a film select film and source but instead of clicking to stream press C a small menu will then appear. Select downlaod and enter,
Hopefully a dialogue box will appear select CONFIRM to download film.
To view film Settings > file manager > click on the drive name and your downloads will be listed.

Copyright cops made their biggest sweep yet in the crackdown on preloaded Kodi TV streaming kit.

Five people were arrested: three in the Greater Manchester area, one in Rhyl, and one in Bootle in Merseyside. Police did not release names. They have all been released on bail.

During the raids, “fully loaded illegal TV set top devices”, a term that covers both USB sticks and set top boxes, were seized. The Federation for Copyright Theft was joined by the City of London Police’s Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU), the IPO and regional police in the raids.

The cops appear to be more interested in busting the suppliers than the users, it would seem.

just tried Kodi , it it really nice . Just starting to understand it .. A lot of Youtube movies to learn to set it right . Any suggestions ?

Best thing is to initially download a build such as Nemesis. This is already set up with all the necessary add-ins. You can then start playing around, either just using the bulid or modifying it. If you want your own build you can then start from scratch once you understand how a completed build should work.

Not exactly Kodi, which we do use, I have put this on our LG smart tv.  It's a bit slow to load, uses the FilmOn platform without the FilmOn adverts, but seems more stable.

Just the Freeview stuff, but ideal if the Kodi / Sky feeds are down or playing up.

I run 2 Raspberry Pi 3 with Openelec 8.3 Kodi 17.1 krypton one in the sitting room the other in the summer lounge. Having done a bit of research I download the wizards for the build I want install it and thats about it, minor changes to the menu systems to include my music, films, concerts and music videos. Lately with FilmOn restricting access I am using IPTV sources to watch BBC etc. No signup fee no monthly fee. Cant beat it.

We bought latest Kodi/quad core/pre loaded box for 29 quid and delivered free to a uk address .. Excellent for choices but found it difficult to set up.. Was worth its weight in gold the other night when watching the Heavy weight boxing live. Did not think it would work but sure enough was free. So much to watch but will wait until the winter arrives and hatches battened down. Guess what we bought was chinese copy special edition lol but it works at the moment ha ha
