Hola
Can anyone recommend a company for shipping parcels to
1) other EU countries. particularly UK (for now!)
2) everywhere else?.

This is a general Q , I don't have a specific parcel to ship, just doing research as I have only used the post office to date for a few, must-post-now birthday gifts, & it works out very expensive.

There's a courier service from a shop in Huéscar called 'MONDIAL RELAY' , Has anyone used them?

Rates, reliability, & duty charges , all info gratefully received.
Post your replies here on the forum
as I am sure there are plenty of us who could use this info.

Thank You..
Yay spring's coming! bounce

I don't think there are any cheap couriers - certainly not for walk-in customers.
I sent a package to the UK via Correos at christmas. It was just over 1kg and cost €20. That was more than the contents cost.

For presents and the like, my suggestion would be to buy from Amazon and have them gift wrap and send the package. It'll certainly be cheaper. You'll probably find that every online vendor will have lower postage rates than you'd get from a courier, no matter which country you're sending stuff to.

I sent a flight bag weighing around 7kg with clothes/shoes in it for my brothers wedding, to Australia last year. It was registered post.

I looked at several courier companies, but they were very expensive.  I went to the Post Office in Galera, still too much.

I then had a look on the Correos website and it was much cheaper!!??  I paid 35€ after the online discounts were applied.  It took around 2 weeks to arrive.

Hope this helps! Caz x

Compared to the 200€ TNT quoted, 245€ via SEUR and the 75€ they wanted at the actual Post Office I thought it was OK. I couldn't find anything less expensive in January 2016, but if you know of something cheaper, please let us know! Wink

Thank you! that's great info about getting a significantly better rate through the Correos website!
Did you have to print out the postage stickers & then take the parcel to the post office?

Yes, you register on the website, then fill in all the sizes and weights of your parcels. You then get a calculation of the cost.

Any discounts they are offering are shown when you pay. Then you print out your postage stickers and take it in to the Post Office.
