just by looking at their tariffs in store it was going to be very costly to do this far as it was past their normal zone. their most expensive was around 100.

You'd probably find it cheaper to get a "man in a van" to pick stuff up.
Whenever I've been there, the IKEA car park has had a fair number of rented vans (notable by the logos emblazened on them) oresent.

When we wanted a complete kitchen from IKEA we hired a van from a firm in Baza - Altiplano rent a car, c/Corredera - next to a courier firm and are connected to them somehow. Price was reasonable for the hire, only problem was when my husband filled up the vehicle with diesel on the way to Murcia and we only used half a tank to do the round trip (vans are more economical than they were years ago so we learnt that you do not fill it up but keep an eye on fuel consumption to return it almost empty).

Well we went to ikea and we have booked transport and are just waiting to have the date confirmed so fingers crossed it all works. It wasn't a huge shop came to around €900 and the transport cost will be €159 in our mind if all goes to plan it will be worth it, watch this space.

I would say the staff on the shop floor said they didn't deliver to our area but the transport desk picked our order and gave us the transport contract, I have spoken to the transport department on the phone and they are confirming tomorrow, so we shall see.
