Falls
My wife had 4 falls, the first time I was able to help her up the second time our handy man and his wife helped lift my wife, she injured her left knee, her left hip and her left breast the third time it was night time she got out of bed to go to the toilet and collapsed between the Bidet the Bath and the Toilet I had to use the emergence number 112 they sent two fire men in a big wagon with blue and red flashing lights, they helped her on to the Toilet and then into bed.
After the second fall I took her to Baza Hospital emergence in 20 minutes she was booked in saw a doctor and had an X-ray and back with the doctor this is on the NHS here in Spain we always get a very good service.
Our daughter visited us to help out with my wife’s falls and our accounts ready for our tax plus my wife’s Dutch passport renewal
We rented a wheel chair from a shop in the town and had to go to the doctors for a letter for the Dutch embassy (My wife is not able to stand for a long time queuing) as it is not possible to renew Dutch passports in other parts of Spain other than Madrid. I understand the British passports can be renewed by internet.
While we were seeing the Doctor we were also told my wife could also have a walking frame with a seat on it from the NHS free of charge, so we were able to take the rented one back.

Hello Peter
So sorry to hear of your wifes falls I hope she is recovering okay.
It is good to know that you are getting such a good service from the spanish health service and let's hope that you both don't need it too much in the future and great news about the walking frame I hope it helps your wife with her walking/steadiness.
All the best
Keith

Re: Falls
Sorry to hear your news, but glad the health system is treating you well. I spent yesterday at a hospital in Granada accompanying a young relative who needed a knee operation. Was very impressed with the service although it was a long day!
Hope your wife makes a good recovery.
