Why we get power cuts

Ever wondered why the power goes off so frequently?

Here's a clue - and it's not a trick of perspective

Walking along the main road from Los Olivos to Castillejar the road goes through poplar trees, some of which have fallen over in high winds and are only held up by the various cables which are festooned between wooden posts. Something has to give now and then!

This would only disrupt those in close proximity but guess its a fun topic..I like the junction boxes in some of the streets with no covers or protection lol
