How/where to buy a moto (motorbike)?
The moto I was going to store in Spain (KTM 690 Enduro) has just been stolen in the UK and I'm having a rethink. Perhaps I should buy a Spanish registered bike instead, along with Spanish insurance. Then I won't have to take it back to the UK for MOTs.
In the UK you can buy motos on eBay buy there's nowt on the Spanish eBay site, only spares and stuff. Where do people normally buy and sell motos? Is there an equivalent to Autotrader?
I do a lot of moto riding in Morocco and I'm really looking forward to (quietly) exploring some of the trails in the Altiplano. If anyone is into biking and has an hour or so to waste, here's a write-up of one of my adventures.

Not sure if this is anything like what you are looking for but I am pretty sure this is still for sale, you would have to PM gobiker to check

Nice pics of your trips Tim. I went all over Spain on my Diversion 900, Absolutely brilliant, 9000 miles in 3 months. Unfortunately my health won't let me do that again. Happy memories though. I am hoping to Sell My VT1100 and get a cheap car and Bike out of it.

What a great adventure Tim. I am hoping to return to motorised two wheels again one day. Sorry to hear about you losing your bike!

Ok I know this is going to sound stupid, but the last bike I had was a bantam 125 back in 1966 ish. I am looking for a 125 to use locally, but as I am 6 foot and 16 stone I want the biggest framed one possible. Does anyone have any ideas of a suitable make. I'm assuming that you can still ride up to this cc on a car licence ,or have things changed. Humorous answers along with a bit of genuine information accepted.

Suzuki Marauder John? Ask Phil to try his out, although it is NOT for sale. Might give you an idea. A weight carrier, but not too heavy.

Honda Varadero!
I'm 6'2" and its about the only 125 I can ride without banging my knees on the handlebars.
They cost a bit more than your average 125, but they are built to last, easy and cheap to maintain, and retain a high re-sale value.

Many of the trail-type bikes have high seats. Have a read through http://www.segundamano.es/motos-de-segunda-mano-granada/125.htm (125cc bikes in Granada province).
If you do go for a trail bike you ideally need one that's road legal with registration, MOT (IVA) and lights.
What I ended up buying in Cartegena—KTM 690 Enduro R. I did 200km exploring local trails
whilst impatiently waiting for the registration plate to arrive. In this shot our cave is the white
blob above the bike's right-hand mirror.

big /small bike
Thanks for the info, will follow it up. Don't really intend doing much off road, although the trial bikes look tougher. more for going into town for odd bits of shopping and my classes, there are no buses near me, mind you not much of anything.
